Facedown College Ministry - January 2010

If you've ever read this blog, you're thinking, "wow, where has it been for 6 months?" Or you're not wondering that because you didn't miss it! The intention for the RBC College Ministry blog was essentially to keep everyone up to date about what is happening on or around Sunday nights. I say around because sometimes there are other things going on like Saturday events. If you were at college group this past Sunday night then you know we have started reading and discussing through CJ Mahaney's book, Humility. Here on the blog going forward you can expect to get the update about what chapters to be reading and thinking about.

BTW, you can "Look Inside!" Click on the link to check the book out at Amazon and preview it.

FOR SUNDAY JAN. 17 READ:
Humility chapter 2 on Pride (in order to complete the section covered this past Sunday)
Humility chapters 3, 4 (Section II) on the Great Reversal
Matthew chapters 18 & 26 (not through 26 but just both of those chapters in the Gospel of Matthew)

For any thoughts on any of the reading, feel free to post below...

College Ministry - July 5

Guest Speakers this Sunday Night - 2 for 1!

We will be meeting even though it is 4th of July weekend. We will be having Jim and Beverly Hendrickson visit with us. They will be sharing with us their experience in the medical field and education for their vocation. They will correlate their belief in an Almighty Sovereign Creator and God's astounding creation of the human body that science has credited to chance. This could be a great opportunity to bring your friends that may have questions regarding the evolution/creation debate. Jim and Bev will also touch on their experiences as entrepreneurs and leaders in the secular arena.

Begin thinking of good questions to ask them as there will be a time of open discussion and q&a.

Dinner will be ready to eat at 6:45 as usual.

The blog is up and running!

I am excited to announce that the Blog is up! This is a place to get info about the college group and see what is going on from week to week. It is my desire that all will be able to post different blog post and we will get that set up as you inquire about being set up as a user. Later today I will post the teaching schedule for the next few months which is the same as you got on the newsletter last week.

Ultimately this is a place where we can discuss different biblical topics, encourage one another and glorify God! I pray that you will use this to be informed and interact with what is taking place in the College ministry. If you have any suggestions please leave a comment below at the bottom of the post.

Thank you
RBC College leadership!
